Table Bay Mountain – Cape Town, South Africa

Photo captured on the 4th of July 2021, from my room at the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. I typically shoot with Nikon D750 or even my older D3400 although this shot was captured with an iPhone 11 (4.25 mm, f1.8).

You cannot go wrong with this view. Whether waking up or going to bed, this view of Table Bay Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean makes this trip worth repeating. Typically seeing clouds while on vacation is a dreadful sign but seeing the mountain reach into the clouds was picture perfect.

Table Bay (Afrikaans Tafelbaai) is a natural bay on the Atlantic Ocean overlooked by Cape Town and is at the northern end of the Cape Peninsula, which stretches south to the Cape of Good Hope. It was named because it is dominated by the flat-topped Table Mountain.
